New 2011 Hyundai Elantra

Hyundai updated the Elantra for 2011 so that it now offers an all-inclusive package of outstanding performance, exceptional fuel economy ratings, imposing features and impressive exterior styling. In addition, the 2011 Elantra ranks 5 out of 33 top affordable small cars. The Elantra has transformed from an above average, but essentially unremarkable, car, to a noteworthy compact that ranks alongside the best. Not only is Elantra’s new sinuous exterior styling eye-catching, but it looks expensive, in spite of its $14,830 base price-tag. Its spacious interior provides a remarkable range of optional features, a first among affordable small cars, which consist of a rear-view camera, navigation and heated leather backseats.

Elantra’s precise steering, accurate braking and modestly powered engine has class competitive fuel economy ratings of 29 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway. According to Automobile Magazine, “…as a practical commuter, there’s not much to complain about. And, that’s what this type of car is about—comfortable, economical, and practical. Right now, it’s without question at the top of its class…we have no doubt that it’ll remain there.” Also, the editors for Edmunds.com reviewed the new Elantra and stated, “Optioned smartly, the Elantra is more than just a lot of car for the money. It’s a sharply dressed, roomy and amply equipped car for the money. It was before to some degree, but now it has classy looks to match. And, when it comes to economy sedans, that still matters.” Its class-competitive fuel economy ratings and smooth ride make it a practical and cost-effective sedan. Motor Trend says that “The Elantra’s main mission is to serve as an affordable commuter. And, it performs its duties well.”

When Hyundai designed the Elantra, they endeavored to develop a sedan with precise steering, first-rate braking and a modestly-powered engine with great fuel economy ratings. According to the automotive industry, Hyundai succeeded. Furthermore, reviewers are very impressed with the Elantra’s steering and braking capabilities, which are in the same category with the most popular cars in its class. Left Lane News writes that “On our routes, which saw us plowing away along grooved freeways, expansion-jointed roads, chopped up asphalt and even the occasional sandy shoreline parking lot, we experienced one of the best compact/mid-sized rides we have had behind the wheel.” In addition, Elantra’s engine capabilities fit right in with its top competitors. It performs extremely well when you consider that it only has a 1.8 liter engine that produces 148 horsepower and 131 pound-feet of torque. Gears shift effortlessly, and the engine is refined. If you’re looking for a comfortable ride, reviewers believe the Elantra deserves a spot at the top of your wish list.

Hyundai offers buyer protection and is the very first automaker in the United States to introduce this program. Under the Buyer Protection Program, Hyundai owners who are unable to make payments on their new automobile can return it to the dealership and walk away from their loan or lease obligation. Buyers qualify for this coverage in case of involuntary unemployment, physical disability, loss of driver’s license due to medical impairment, international employment transfer, self-employed personal bankruptcy or accidental death. Finally, all Hyundai vehicles are covered with one of the most comprehensive warranties on the market – a 5-year/60,000 mile, bumper-to-bumper warranty, a 10-year/100,000 mile warranty and a 5-year complimentary Roadside Assistance. All this, for an Elantra that averages $15,062 to $20,061 and has a Manufactured Suggested Retail Price of $14,830 – $19,980. That’s a bargain worth striking!
