Chevrolet Parts Guarantee Quality
Founded by Louis Chevrolet and William C. Durant in 1911, Chevrolet boasts of a rich history under its hood. Durant, founder of General Motors, was forced out of his own company in 1910 and he turned to Chevrolet for his designs in order to rebuild his reputation in the auto industry once more. Using the bowtie as its first logo in the early part of the century, Chevrolet managed to raise its campaign and its sales enough to allow Durant to buy major stocks of General Motors. In turn, this led to Chevrolet being integrated into General Motors in 1916 as one of its many divisions with Durant back at the top of the giant car company. In 1918, Chevrolet released the Model D V-8 series roadster which boasted of seating 4 passengers, a three speed transmission and ran on 35 hp at that time.
As the years progressed, Chevrolet would introduce several models that defined the car manufacturer such as the Impala in 1958 and the Corvair in 1960. These two cars brought Chevrolet into the consciousness of the American people and ultimately placed a huge number of these cars in many homes during the years of their releases. During this golden age for Chevrolet in the 1950s up to the 1960s, one out of every ten cars in the United States was one of Chevrolets own.
